Toddler Program
The Alyssum Montessori Toddler Program offers a nurturing, thoughtfully prepared environment where our youngest children can grow in independence, confidence, and curiosity. Designed specifically for children ages 15 months to 3 years, the program supports this important stage of development with respect, patience, and purposeful work.
In our toddler classroom, children are encouraged to explore at their own pace through hands-on activities that build practical life skills, language development, fine and gross motor coordination, and social-emotional growth. Our trained Montessori guides carefully observe each child and provide gentle guidance, fostering a sense of security while allowing children to develop autonomy and self-trust.
Daily routines are predictable and calm, helping toddlers feel safe and capable as they learn to care for themselves, their environment, and one another. Emphasis is placed on grace and courtesy, concentration, and joyful discovery, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
At Alyssum Montessori, we honor each child as a capable individual and partner closely with families to support the growth of the whole child—mind, body, and heart.

About the Teachers
Beth has a deep-rooted passion for working with young children, a love she inherited from her mother. While at home raising her two daughters, she began her journey in early childhood education by opening a home daycare, where her interest in the Montessori method first blossomed.
With over 21 years of teaching experience, Beth holds a Montessori certification for children ages 0-6. She is committed to nurturing the whole child, focusing on their emotional well-being and developmental needs. Known for creating warm, homelike classroom environments, Beth’s teaching approach ensures that her students feel both safe and inspired.

Beth has a particular fondness for Montessori’s Math materials, believing they are instrumental in fostering children's curiosity and understanding. Her classrooms are not only places of learning but also of warmth and community, extending her care to the families of her students.
As part of the Alyssum community and the Wildflower network, Beth is excited to continue her journey as a lifelong learner, all while inspiring her young students to cultivate their own love of learning.
